Your day starts as we collect you from your hotel or pickup point in our air-conditioned mini bus to meet your boat in Rhodes Town.
Our English speaking escort will be there to see you onto the boat, then you can relax on deck and take in the stunning views as you cruise from Rhodes harbour and onto the open azure waters of the Aegean Sea and glide across the water to the picturesque isle of Symi.
On arrival at Symi, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the waterfront promenade and see firsthand the islands sponge diving history, a practice that dates back to ancient Greece with works by Aristotle, Plato and Homer, all mentioning the use of sponges for bathing.
You’ll also have plenty of free time to explore the town at your leisure. Wander through the hive of cobbled streets, dropping in at charming shops to browse local wares. There are also many Tavernas to enjoy a leisurely lunch.
After exploring Symi town, return to the boat for a short cruise to Panormitis Bay.
Visit the monastery of the Archangel Michael. This 18th century Venetian styled monastery boasts the world’s highest baroque bell tower and is thought to have been built on the site of an ancient temple dedicated to Apollo.
Head inside the main gate and make your way into the church to see the elaborate chandeliers, or admire the exhibits at the two museums that house ecclesiastical art and folk art and items relating to fishing and agriculture.
Then it’s back to the boat for the return voyage to Rhodes.
